Trolls of the Realm proudly presents to you the first Grand Contest in Europe: Sorceryfest 2026!

Join us July 3–5, 2026 in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands for a magical festival weekend celebrating Sorcery: Contested Realm.

SorceryFest brings together players, artists, content creators and collectors from across Europe and beyond. Help us grow the European community, meet old friends, make new friends, battle brave contenders, and build a thriving foundation for Sorcery for years to come.

And yes – we’ll be playing a lot of Sorcery. Ticket sales can be found here

Festival Program 2026

Friday July 3

16:00 – Casual Meet-Up
Join us for relaxed games, meeting fellow players, and warming up for the weekend.

Fee: Free for ticket holders

19:00 – Alpha Draft
Experience the roots of Sorcery in one of the most beloved formats.

Fee: only for Unique ticket holders

19:00 – Gothic Draft
Dive into the dark and mysterious atmosphere of the Gothic set in this exciting draft event.

Fee: 35 euro (also included in the elite ticket)

19:30 – 23:00 – On-Demand Drafts & Learn-to-Play
Additional drafts and beginner sessions available throughout the evening.

Saturday July 4

11:00 – Constructed Event

Test your courage in a spirited but friendly battle to see who will claim the Realm.

7 rounds of Swiss
Top 8 playoff
Higher seed chooses play/draw in Top 8
Deck construction follows current official rules at time of event

Fee: 70 Euro (lunch and dinner included)

16:00 – 22:00 – On-Demand Drafts & Learn-to-Play

19:00 – King of the Hill Multiplayer Mayhem

Sunday July 5

11:00 – Sealed Gothic Event

Build your best deck from a sealed pool and compete across 7 Swiss rounds.

(No Top 8 playoff.)

Fee: 60 Euro (lunch included)

12:00 – 17:00 – On-Demand Drafts & Learn-to-Play

Location

All events take place at: Boutique Hotel Catshuis
A beautiful and intimate venue in the heart of Leeuwarden.

The professional venue staff will serve food and drinks throughout the weekend.
We kindly ask guests not to bring outside food or beverages.

Nearest parking: Parkeergarage Oldehove

By Plane & train:
Fly to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
From Schiphol, trains to Leeuwarden depart every 30 minutes.
Travel time: approx. 2 hours.
From Leeuwarden station: 8–10 minute walk to the venue.

SorceryFest is about gathering and fun.
Sorcery is, at heart, a kitchen-table game — and we embrace that spirit.

Our guiding principle:

Use Common Sense & Be Cool.

We support fierce battles — not cutthroat rules lawyering.

We will have a team of judges present to assist with rules questions.
We follow official EC guidelines and do not restrict cards beyond official rulings.
