Our goal
With these auctions, we want to provide the Sorcery community with a trusted and transparent way to buy and sell some of the more special pieces of Sorcery: Contested Realm.
We’ll be offering items that you don’t come across every day — Curios, high-end Foils, Unique Foils, signed cards, promos, samples and other special pieces of Sorcery history.
We know that buying high-end collectibles requires trust. That’s why we want to make the whole process as clear and straightforward as possible, with detailed pictures, grading information, verification reports where available, transparent bidding and clear auction terms.
All auctioned cards will be graded. Wherever possible, we use PCG, our grading partner, which has built a strong reputation within the Sorcery community.
How the Auction works
Taking part in the auction is easy.
- Each item has a starting bid and a reserve price. The reserve price is not disclosed.
- The current bid will be updated regularly on the auction listing.
- Bids must be made in €25 or larger increments (except for the Sorcerer and Cradle of Etherrum which have a bid increment of €10)
- Bids can be placed by replying to the relevant Facebook auction post, by sending a PM to Trolls of the Realm, or through our Trolls of the Realm Discord.
- All valid bids, including bids received by PM, will be recorded by Trolls of the Realm.
- If a bid is received during the final 10 minutes, the auction will be extended by another 10 minutes. This continues until there are no further bids during the final 10 minutes.
- In case of tied bids, the first bid received will count.
- All bids are binding. By placing a bid, you confirm that you are willing and able to pay the winning amount.
- If the reserve price has not been met when the auction closes, the item will not be sold. We will update the auction post once the reserve price has been met.
Auction dates
Start: Tuesday, 1 September 2026 at 15:00 CEST (Amsterdam time)
End: Sunday, 6 September 2026 at 15:00 CEST (Amsterdam time)
Payment
Payment is due within 5 days after the auction closes.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer or credit card. Any payment fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
If you would like to use another payment method, please contact us before placing a bid.
Shipping & Pickup
All items are shipped from the Netherlands.
Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Any customs duties, import taxes or local fees are also the responsibility of the buyer.
We can also arrange personal pickup at events where Trolls of the Realm is present. This includes events such as the Uthden Troll Cup in Leeuwarden and Avatar of the Realm in Boston in November.
If you win an auction and would prefer to collect your item at one of these events, simply contact us after the auction and we’ll arrange it with you.

Auction dates
Start: Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 15:00 CEST (Amsterdam time)
End: Sunday, September 6, 2026 at 15:00 CEST (Amsterdam time)
Bidding
All bids are in EUR (€).
The minimum bid increment is €10. Each new bid must therefore be at least €10 higher than the current highest valid bid.
Bids can be placed by:
- replying to the relevant Facebook auction post;
- replying to the relevant Discord auction post; or
- sending a PM or email to Trolls of the Realm.
The auction is mirrored across Facebook and Discord. These are not separate auctions: all valid bids from Facebook, Discord and email form part of the same auction.
Trolls of the Realm will keep the official record of all valid bids. A bid is considered valid once it has been received and recorded by Trolls of the Realm.
Auction extension
Any valid bid received during the final 10 minutes of the auction will extend the auction end time by 10 minutes.
For example, if the auction is scheduled to end at 15:00 and a valid bid is received at 14:57, the auction will be extended until 15:10. If another valid bid is then received at 15:08, the auction will be extended by another 10 minutes, until 15:20.
This process continues with each valid bid received during the final 10 minutes.
Reserve price
Some auction items have a reserve price. The reserve price is not disclosed.
We will update the relevant auction listing once the reserve price has been met.
If the reserve price has not been met when the auction closes, the item will not be sold, even if there is a highest bid.
Winning bid
The highest valid bid at the time the auction closes, provided the reserve price has been met, is the winning bid.
In the event of identical bids, the bid recorded first by Trolls of the Realm will take precedence.
Binding bids
All bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn.
By placing a bid, you confirm that you are willing and able to purchase the item for the amount bid and that you accept these auction terms and conditions.
Proxy bids
Proxy bidding can be arranged by contacting Trolls of the Realm before the auction closes.
A proxy bid authorises Trolls of the Realm to place bids on your behalf up to the maximum amount agreed with you. Your maximum proxy amount will not be disclosed to other bidders.
Auction updates
The current highest bid and other relevant auction updates will be posted on the relevant Facebook and Discord auction listings.
As bids can be received through different channels, there may occasionally be a short delay before the displayed current bid is updated.
Trolls of the Realm will maintain a record of all valid bids received.
Item condition and grading
The grading company and grade are stated in each individual auction listing.
High-resolution photographs of the actual item, including front and back where applicable, are provided on the full auction listing.
Buyers are encouraged to review the photographs, grading information and full item description before placing a bid.
Payment
Payment is due within 5 days after the auction closes. Payment can be made by:
- PayPal
- Bank transfer
- Credit card
Any applicable payment fees are the responsibility of the buyer.Please contact us before bidding if you would like to use another payment method.
Non-payment
If the winning bidder fails to pay within the required payment period, Trolls of the Realm may cancel the sale.
In such cases, Trolls of the Realm may offer the item to the next highest bidder or relist the item in a future auction.
Shipping and customs
Items are shipped from the Netherlands. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise stated.
Any customs duties, import taxes or other local charges applicable in the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer.
Available shipping options and insurance can be discussed with the winning bidder.
Pickup
Where agreed in advance, winning items can be collected in person at events where Trolls of the Realm is present.
This includes, for example, Uthden Troll Cup in Leeuwarden and Avatar of the Realm in Boston.
Please contact us after winning the auction to arrange pickup.
Changes, errors and withdrawal of an item
Trolls of the Realm reserves the right to correct obvious typographical or factual errors in an auction listing.
If an item is found to have a significant undisclosed issue, is damaged, or becomes unavailable before the auction closes, Trolls of the Realm reserves the right to withdraw the item from the auction.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these auction terms is intended to exclude or restrict any mandatory consumer rights that apply to the buyer under applicable law.
For buyers within the European Union, applicable EU and national consumer protection legislation applies.
For buyers outside the European Union, the laws and mandatory consumer rights applicable to the transaction and destination country may apply.
